The high level officials of the South Asian countries have convened in Kathmandu to partake in a regional conference on migration to be organized tomorrow. The conference will be jointly organized

by the European Union (EU) and the South Asian Study Centre. In a press conference organized in the capital on Thursday, it was shared that the gathering of concerned officials would discuss ways to ensure safe and convenience migration across the South Asian region. Representatives of the EU in Pakistan and Bangladesh will also take part in the conference besides the high-ranking officials of the SAARC member-nations, said EU Ambassador to Nepal Rensje Teerink. The conference is expected to be useful to Nepal in formulating and enacting migration related laws in the context when

migration is increasingly becoming challenging across the globe and thousands of migrant workers are flocking foreign shores every year.
