tunnel in the middle of the jungle. And he has been d!gging since the last 18 years. Santiago Sanchez is from Berlin, El Salvador. And he says that he regards the d!gging as God’s work. He even adds that he will devote every waking hour of his life to the project.
The 69 year old wakes up each morning at 3 am. He heads to the tunnel even though he admits that he has no idea where the tunnel will end up. He even does not know why he was asked to build it. He even carries 90 pounds of rock, stone and debris each time he emerges. He claims that God told him to do so. He told local TV station, ‘What I am doing is a spiritual revelation from God.’
But the digging is not an easy task. Once a man who went in claimed that he started to $tr*uggle breathing by the time he got halfway in and he had to leave. But to Mr Sanchez it was no surprise as he claims that God allows nobody else to go there but him. He said, ‘Only I am allowed to go to the end, because I am God’s tunnel digger.’
